The most common misconception about eczema is that it is simply just a skin irritation resulting to minor inconveniences. Partly, the idea is true but unknown to a lot of people, eczema can be the source of severe depression and lifelong emotional damage for those who suffer from this skin disease.

The anxiety of more than 50% of eczema patients is to have another eczema break out. Children are more prone to teasing and mockery and sometimes at school they are being bullied because of their condition. Even adults who suffer from eczema can also be ostracized and discriminated at their workplace or anywhere for that matter.
